Hike 2: Fallen Rock Cave

3.4 miles and 500 feet of climbing.

Although the distance wasn’t long, there were challenging rock climbs.

We spent enough time for those places and moved on.

It’s important to have occasional water breaks.

Finally we came to the first cave called the “Birthing Cave.”

I wonder how many lives were born in this cave?

The reasons why we call it that were found in the cave. Many petroglyphs were carved on the cave floor and ceiling.

Now, the highlight of the hike was the next destination, Fallen Rock cave. And it was the most challenging place to get to.

Finally, I saw the cave. When I went inside the cave and looked back, a stunning sight was there in front of me.

The flat side of the fallen rock was full of petroglyphs.

This looks like a bird.

The fallen rock with petroglyphs looked so tiny from far away. We were even tinier than that.
