It was little too late for Cherry blossom in Tokyo, but we could still see some.
Here at Sayama reservoir, we could see Mount Fuji although clouds covered the beautiful figure.

思い立って、夕日を見に行った。
狭山貯水湖からは雲に隠れてしまったものの富士山が見えてた。
東京の桜シーズンにはちょっと遅れてしまった。
でも、日本の桜はやはりどれも堂々としている。
Our trip to Japan was only 10 days. Take away two days for moving days left us only 8 days. Gave up going out from Tokyo. Boys didn’t care so much of visiting historical places, but I took them to Asakusa for a change.
10日間の旅とはいえ、2日は飛行機移動でなくなってしまうから、ますます時間がない。
東京以外はすべて断念する。
秋葉原にはすでに2日間も行っているので、浅草寺を訪れた。
そこから歩いて合羽橋通りへと向かう。
Kappabashi street is not so far away from Asakusa by walking. It’s a district for hardware for professional. I wanted to get a knife sharpening stone. “Kappa” is an imaginally folklore character. When you see figures like this, it’s already Kappabashi street.
合羽橋の店の前にはこんな河童がたくさんいる。ここに来た理由は砥石を買いたかったからなんだけど、種類がありすぎてわからず。結局簡易砥石を買ってきてしまった。

I thought it’s only for kids… but we went there anyway.
To my surprise, there are many adults including foreigners.
まだまだ根深い人気があるんですね。
子供だけじゃなく、大人もたくさんいました。
外国人も結構いました。
この近くには東京タワーもあるというのに、そちらはあまり興味をしめしてくれませんでした。
Well, it’s Gundam.
Take off Rinkai line at Tokyo Teleport station, it’s Odaiba.
I don’t know how to describe it, but Odaiba is a gigantic amusement area made boys so excited. They commented they could spend a few days there. Gundam stood there in front of Fuji television occasionally make noise, steam, and flashes.
お台場のガンダムはアニメファンにはかかせません。
お台場には若者が楽しいと思うものを全部持ってきたって感じ。

お台場の地図。昔来た時から比べると、かなりいろいろなものが増えて、ますます巨大おとぎの国化してきたかな。彼が指差しているところは、ポケモンゲームで有名なパレットタウン。ゲームはそこからスタートね。

We had rain almost everyday. You can not see the top of the building because of the rain.
Boys went to anime shops near by Sunshine 60.
生憎、ほとんど毎日雨。
ここ池袋駅から見上げるサンシャイン60は、雨に霞んで見えなくなっていました。
サンシャインの近くにもアニメショップが立ち並び、若者達はそこで1日を過ごしたのでした。
私は久しぶりにデパートで買い物。
Seibu Ikebukuro line offers Super express line called “Red Allow.”
We took a ride for fun since we didn’t have a chance to ride “Shinkansen”, super express JR line.
When the train came in, we spotted NRA on the side of the train.
Boys couldn’t stop laughing at it as you know it stands for National Rifle association in US.
NRA stands for New Red Allow in Japan.
西部池袋線にはレッドアローという特急線があります。
新幹線に乗れないのなら、せめてこれに乗ろうと思ったわけです。
構内に入ってきた車両の横をみると・・・ NRA これはなんと・・・ 若者達は大爆笑。
アメリカではNRAが何を意味するのか知らない人はいないでしょう。
