今年早々、1月3日、バンちゃんは足底筋膜を切る手術をしました。手術には1時間しかかかりませんでしたが、完治するまでに3ヶ月ほどかかります。今日は術後6週間後のチェックアップに行ってきました。回復は順調で問題なし。　Early this year, on January 3, Banchan had surgery to cut his plantar fascia. The surgery only took an hour, but it will take about 3 months to fully heal. Today we went for a 6-week check-up after the surgery. Recovery is going well, no problems.

ただ、右足の手術だったので、運転もできず、屋外活動は全くできないという状況です。 However, since the surgery was on his right leg, he is unable to drive or do any outdoor activities at all.

でも、もう少し。 But it’s almost there.

あと2-3週間ぐらいしたら、私も彼のお抱え運転手業から解放されそうです。 In about 2-3 more weeks, I will be released from his chauffeur duties, too!

さて、こういう状況下での医療器具は松葉杖と膝を乗せるスクーターが一般的です。前回の左の手術の時にはその２種を使いました。 Now, the most common medical equipment in these situations is crutches and a knee scooter. He used those two types during his last left surgery.

でも、今回はスクーターの代わりに新しい製品、iWalk 3.0 を使いました。ゆっくりですが、普通に歩けるところが何といっても一番の利点です。　But this time, instead of a scooter, he used a new product, iWalk 3.0. The best thing about it is that he can walk normally, albeit slowly.

難点は着装に時間がかかることです。とは言え、たかだか30秒弱。断然オススメです。 The drawback is that it takes time to put it on. However, it only takes less than 30 seconds. I definitely recommend it.

今までこんな製品が無かった事の方が驚きです。大したテクノロジーを使ってるわけでもないですからね。 I am more surprised that there has never been a product like this before. It doesn’t use much technology.

もう徐々に足に体重を乗せても良くなり、松葉杖なしでも少しづつ歩くように勧められました。だから、iWalk の登場はもうありません。お役目ありがとうございました。 He can gradually put more and more weight on his right leg now, and was encouraged to walk a little more without crutches. So iWalk will no longer be around. Thank you for your service.
