ジンジャーブレッド ハウスのキットをプレゼントしていただきました。　Our friend gave us a gingerbread house kit as a gift.

でも、説明書がない！二人とも作った事がなかったので、そのまま食べちゃおうとしました。 But there are no instructions! We had never made one before so we thought we would just eat them as they were.

が、思いとどまり、10分ほど奮闘して完成させました。 But then we changed our minds, and completed the project after a 10 minute struggle.

どうもアイシングがうまく出てくれなくて、綺麗にできませんでした。 Apparently, the icing didn’t come out right and we didn’t get it right.

完成直後には、即、ジンジャーマンが食べられてしまいました。見た目は悪くても、味は良し！ Immediately upon completion, the ginger man was eaten. It may not look good, but it tastes good!

後で聞いた話ですが、ジンジャーマンとモミの木はアイシングをキャンディーの上にたっぷり塗って立たせる事ができるとこのとでした。 I was later told that the ginger man and fir tree can be made to stand up with a generous layer of icing on top of the peppermint candies.
