ホームプロジェクト、また始めました。まずはクッションです。作るのに1時間もあればできてしまうのになかなか出来なかったのは、単に面倒くさいから。でも、出来上がってみると、やっぱり新しくしてよかったと思えます。I have started the home project again. To begin, I updated two cushions. It takes only an hour or so, but because I am lazy, I procrastinated. But I am glad that I updated them.

裏布と表布、両方気に入ったので、気分で使い分けできるように両方使いました。 At the fabric store, I found two fabrics that I liked. So I bought both and used one on each side of the cushion. I will flip the cushion around every once in a while when I feel like it.
苦労した所は、コードを挟んで角を縫う所でしょうか。 The difficult thing was to sew the fabric together with the cord in-between. Especially at the corner, it was especially tough.
毎日の生活を向上するためにするホームプロジェクト。今回はたった 2 – 3 時間で完了しました。My home project is to improve our daily lives. I was able to complete this project in 2 – 3 hours.
ランドリールームにある「なんでも置き場」。帰ってきたらジャケットや靴を脱ぐ場所です。左側がバンちゃん用で右側が私。This is our “anything you want to drop off” place in our laundry room. When we come back home, we take off our jackets, shoes, etc. right there.
だから毎日絶対に一度は座る重宝するベンチです。その上にあるクッションはこのベンチについてきたものです。しばらくは心地よく使っていましたが、座る頻度があまりにも多かったためか、ペチャンコになっていました。だから、クッションのホームプロジェクトです。Therefore, we sit on the bench at least once everyday. Come to think of it, it’s one of the most useful and convenient items in our house. The cushion on the bench came with the bench. It was comfortable for a while but because we used it so much, it became nearly flat. So my home project, the cushion project, had started.
綿を入れ替えるだけの簡単プロジェクトです。綿の入れ替えは当然問題ないですが、綿を入れた後、動かないように糸で抑えをするところ、予想外に大変でした。なにしろ厚さがありますから、針を垂直に刺すのは、それなりの技術が必要なんですね。It’s a very simple project, replacing the cotton inside it. Indeed, it was simple to replace the cotton, but stitching together the front and back fabric to hold the cotton inside was a challenge. If I didn’t pierce a needle through the layers exactly perpendicular, my needle came out at a completely wrong place. Because the cotton inside was so thick, I needed to slow down a lot, and be careful.

こんなどうでもいいような小さな事、でも、そんな発見は、ちょっとうれしくさせてくれます。知らない世界がこんな所にもあった！It was such a trivial thing that no one cared about. But it made me smile, because a world I didn’t know before was hidden in such an ordinary place.
