ずーっと先延ばしにしていましたが、ついに我慢できずレンズのフォーカステストをすることにしました。 – I have been postponing it for a while, but finally checked my lens’ focus with the focus test kit.

その後、早速、キャリブレーションの成果を試します。一番気になっていた100〜400ｍｍのズームもスクッと良くなって快適です。こちらのショットは100ｍｍです。- Then I made test shots to see the improvement of the calibration.  The lens that most concerned me was the 100-400 mm zoom lens. Calibration improved the image focus drastically.  The below image is taken at 100mm.

Apache Plume いい感じ。Apache Plume looks pretty good.

Bunny Ear サボテンにとまっていたこの虫は何でしょうね？ – I wonder what kind of bug this is on a Bunny Ear cactus.

フォーカスしたいところに焦点が当たってるのは気持ちがいいです。 – It gives me great satisfaction when I can get the exact focus on where I want to focus.

虫を発見したと言ったら、Bunny Ear たちがワサワサと心配顔で集まって来ました。虫は無害だから無視していいのよ。む、む。む。。 – Bunny Ear cacti looked at me with concerned faces because I said the word “bug”.  “Don’t worry, it’s a harmless bug” I said.

ウソをついてしまった。この虫に食べられてしまう前になんとかしなければ。- I lied. This bug actually does feed on these type of cacti. I will have to do something about it.

あ、これがいい。このてんとう虫で、キャリブレーションの成果をじっくり試して見ましょう。- Oh yes, I found it.  This ladybug is a perfect object to check the result of the lens calibration.  

小さいから難しい。でもなんとか撮れたかな？ – You are so small.  It was quite challenging, but I could somehow manage a few shots.

わっ！てんとう虫さん、意外なお顔立ち。それに、ちょっと怖い。 – No kidding!  You!  Your face is a bit unexpected and scary.

ともあれ、てんとう虫の顔が撮れたので、レンズのキャリブレーション成功ということですね。 – Well, in anycase, I must say that it was a success because I could capture the ladybug’s face.
