ところで、トマティーヨって何でしょう？7個もザクザク切ってソースに使いました。 By the way, what is Tomatillo? I used seven of them chopped to make the sauce.

語源を調べたら、「緑のトマト」とされていました。トマトも含め、トマティーヨもナス科に属しているそうです。切ってみると、ちょっとトマトらしくなく、どちらかと言うとズッキーニに近い気がしました。 The origin of the word was “green tomato” based on my web search. Both tomato and tomatillo belong to Solanaceae family, but it doesn’t look like tomato at all when I cut them to small pieces. It rather looked like zucchini.
